Our Story

About WellHouse

WellHouse is a small, plant-based apothecary rooted in season and soil.

We cultivate and sustainably forage herbs, flowers, and roots close to home, working with them from seed to harvest to infusion. Each plant is gathered at its seasonal peak, dried, cured and then transformed by hand into small-batch botanical oils and topical self-care.

Our formulations are intentionally simple. No synthetic fragrance, no artificial color, no unnecessary additives - only whole plants infused into organic carrier oils, prepared with patience, attention and care.

Our Oils

WellHouse oils are full-spectrum plant infusions - dense, complex, and deeply alive. They are designed for topical use on skin, face, body, and hair. Each single-plant oil stands on its own, yet also serves as the foundation for our butters, serums, and seasonal blends.

They can be used alone, layered into your existing routine and daily rituals, or incorporated into your own preparations.

Our extraction method draws out both oil-soluble and alcohol-soluble plant compounds, resulting in a balanced and holistic infusion. A small amount of grain alcohol is used in the process and fully evaporated, leaving only the complete expression of the plant behind.

The aroma is subtle and true - never sharp or perfumed. Some oils carry an aromatic trace of the field or forest where they grew. Others unfold slowly, working with your personal body chemistry, warming with the skin and revealing their character over time.

Beyond the Bottle

We also create plant-dyed and hand-printed packaging, gift boxes, and custom preparations upon request. Every detail reflects the same ethos: whole plant, small batch, made with intention.

At WellHouse, we believe in working closely with what grows around us - tending, harvesting, saving seed, and sharing abundance when we can.

*Please note that these products are not essential oils.  The plant has already been infused into a carrier oil so while you can add these to other oils, it is not necessary.

WellHouse was born out of a passion of healing and stewarding land.  We believe that happy healthy soil = happy healthy plants = happy healthy people!  Our journey of working with the soil started from when we met in Colorado - with a focus on restoring soil health and creating an optimal and fertile environment for plants to thrive.

WellHouse Micro Farm has recently moved to our new little homestead in Castle Rock.  We are first generation micro farmers using regenerative, sustainable cultivation practices to grow all our food and medicine. 

We have many plans for future farm offerings and are at the beginning of our journey to start sharing these outside our own personal practices.  Watch this space!
